After a smooth 8-hour flight, before we knew it, we landed at Papeete Airport on the island of Tahiti. As soon as we stepped off the plane and on to the stairs, the humidity confirmed that we definitely weren’t in LA anymore! As we walked across the tarmac toward the airport, we were greeted by smiling Tahitian women who gave us each a Tiare flower, a white, dainty, and very fragrant gardenia that is the national flower of Tahiti.
Then it was off to catch the ferry!

I was so tired, but only slept a little bit on the plane – It was all the adrenaline! If the wedding day wasn’t enough of a mix of emotions, the day after was truly the icing on the cake! Excitement/disbelief/exhaustion/relief! We hadn’t truly had time alone in such a long time, and though we already missed our friends, it was so special to finally have it just be the two of us .
Arrival at our hotel,www.1122666.com, the Sheraton Tahiti!
After possibly the most amazing whirlwind day of our lives (that afforded us only two hours of sleep!), we sleepily headed to Los Angeles International Airport in the wee hours of the morning. We really couldn’t believe that the wedding was over,http://www.581122.net/www_581122_net/201503/220.html, we were MARRIED, and we were on our way to the South Pacific!
We had a passerby snap a quick photo of us as we awaited our luggage! We are definitely all smiles! We were later greeted with leis too!Tags: honeymoonlos-angeles BLOGGER Mrs. Daffodil Location: Los Angeles Occupation: Marketing Wedding Date: May 2015 Venue: Rancho del Cielo, Malibu, CA --> PREVIOUS POSTThe Body Shop Gift Basket Giveaway! Then it was off to our hotel. Our plan was to spend about 24 hours in Tahiti and relax a bit, before we would make it over to the beautiful island of Moorea.
Next up…Arrival on the beautiful and mystical island of Moorea!
The next morning, we got up the next morning and enjoyed some brunch before we would head off to the ferry on our way to Moorea.
We had a blissful first evening in Tahiti, just enjoying the resort, some dinner, and then some yummy champagne in our perdy hotel room (and, ahem, some lovely dessert too ).
I didn’t get a good picture, but it was SO cool, because from the dining deck, we could see all the fish and coral swimming right below us! Even from 10 feet above the water!…no need for snorkels! Beautiful!
This is our first picture together on the first day of our married life together!
